Badia San Nicolò Di Campolongo

The History of the Badia

The Badia was originally a Benedictine monastery, and the historical records first mentioning it date back to the year 1100 A.D. It subsequently became a Franciscan abbey in the XVI century.

In modern times, having been rescued from decay, and after a careful restoration, the buildings have been divided into apartments, with lovingly care for every little detail, from the choice of the furnishings to that of the materials used, trying to achieve the perfect balance between Umbrian traditions, elegance and modern comfort. Few in number and each with its own peculiar atmosphere, the apartments are independent though located inside the same buildings, ensuring that our guests enjoy a quiet stay and complete privacy, and surrounding them with an atmosphere that conjugates refinement and elegance with the building's original spirit.

The Badia di San Nicolò di Campolongo is surrounded by 160 hectars of olive groves, cereal fields and woodland. A wildlife protected area traversed by the river Chiascio, this region will give you its warm welcome and allow you to admire its beauty, inspire its scent and open your heart to its silence.
